Before You Go

Before your arrive in the United States, we are going to talk a little bit about cultural differences and culture shock.

Step #1: Wordle

I have posted some articles about culture shock on my Trello account. Please go through them and copy sentences or phrases that you found significant. Paste these into the "Create" portion of Wordle to create a graphic for our publication.

Step #2: WeVideo

Use the WeVideo tool to create a video telling your audience about what you are most nervous about when thinking of your transition to the United States. What are some stereotypes you have of living in the country? Were there any points in the articles on Trello that you related with? If you've experienced culture shock before, share it with us! My sample tells a bit about Germany.

Step #3: Pixton

Now use this site to make a comic of a situation that would make you nervous about traveling to the USA. My sample is this short scenario. Try to make yours 3 or more panels long!

Step #4: Snapguide 

Use the "Create +" button on the Snapguide website to create a guide on how to do one of these activities you are concerned about. 

My example is How to Ride the Trains in Germany.
